CANTEEN OPENING UPDATE

Dear Parents and Carers

We have tried tirelessly to find a provider to outsource our canteen to, however, we have had no luck due to the size of our school. There has, therefore, been A LOT of work going on in the background to at least open our small canteen one day a week to start with using our parent and carer community as volunteers. At this stage, all things going to plan, the canteen will reopen on Friday the 12/8/2022. More details on how to order will come out next week. 

We have had some wonderful volunteers come forward already - thank you. I would like to make sure this is extended to all of our amazing grandparents & carers who are able to help. If you know of a grandparent or carer who could spare some time, please let us know. 

We are also still looking for a CANTEEN COORDINATOR. Without one, long term, we will be unable to continue this endeavour. We don’t imagine this will be a huge job, but it does need to be someone dedicated. If you think this is something you could undertake, or if you know of someone in our parent & carer community who could, OR if you have any questions about the role, please contact us via pandf@sbgdow.catholic.edu.au 

Last but not least, please join me in thanking the team that has been working so hard in the background to get the canteen back up  to scratch and set up all of the systems needed to get the canteen up and running again- it has been no small task and there’s still a lot of work ahead- thank you!!!!
