CONGRATULATIONS KINDERGARTEN!

Week 6 and 9 are the MAGIC rounds, where all students who bring nude food to school will receive a raffle ticket to go into the draw to win an awesome nude food lunch box.

Please talk to your child/children about what nude food is and ask them to help prepare a nude food lunch-box. Some ideas are in the handout below. Our SRC will be showing the students examples of Nude Food lunch boxes. We thank you kindly for your support as we work together to care for our common home ... this beautiful planet.

RESPECT FOCUS WEEK 4: CONSENT

Consent is:

  • asking permission of others to use, share or take images/photos
  • asking permission to enter someone’s body boundary
  • -accepting if someone says ‘No you can't touch me’ or ‘I feel uncomfortable’
  • -being aware that you may be in someone’s body boundary
  • -asking permission to borrow or use other people's property

Consent is not:

  • entering someone’s body boundary without permission
  • using,sharing or taking photos without permission
  • taking others property without asking
  • touching or entering others body boundary after they have said ‘no’

RESPECT FOCUS WEEK 5: RESPECT AT THE TOILETS

Respect at the toilets is:

  • using a soft,calm and respectful voice with others
  • acknowledge others when you see them by using kind words and saying ‘Hi, How are you?’
  • using the toilets appropriately
  • respecting the privacy of others

 

Respect at the toilets is not:

  • playing hide n seek in the toilets
  • avoiding classwork and going to the toilet
  • Intimidating others’
  • not respecting others’ privacy

Each week, we will have a whole school respect focus that will be explicitly taught. Students will engage in role play scenarios to support their understanding of respect and how to treat each other with respect.
