NEWS FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

SACRAMENTAL PROGRAM FOR 2023

Earlier this year the Parish asked parents and carers who undertook the Sacramental Program for 2022 to provide feedback and suggestions for the improvement of our Sacramental program. The Lumen Christi Parish, St Brigid’s and Good Samaritan now offers all children a renewed Sacramental Program that will be more engaging, educationally appropriate, and formative in liturgical worship.

The most significant change is that the majority of preparation will take place during Religious Education lessons at school for students in both Parish Primary schools.

Receiving the Sacraments is a very blessed time in our journey of faith, and it is the means by which baptised children can complete their journey into full membership of the Catholic Church. They are community events, which remind us of the role of the parish community in the development of our life of faith, hope, and love. Our Catholic Schools and Parish are here to help you as parents in your vocation to make known the light and love of God to your children.

Parents are required to attend a compulsory information night at the commencement of the program.
