NEWS FROM THE SCHOOL OFFICE

CatholicCare Parent Presentations

To support Child Protection Week, CatholicCare Wollongong's School Student and Family Program will be hosting several parent presentations with the aim of enhancing protective factors for children and assisting parents in helping their children navigate emotions, friendships and resilience.

Four presentations will be presented across the Wollongong Diocese at various schools. These presentations are available to all parents at Catholic schools.

Updating Qkr!

Please make sure that you have updated all relevant information on your child's profile on Qkr!  Just a reminder that your child's class needs to be updated annually.

School Uniform
With the school holidays approaching can we please ask that you take the time to check your child's uniform when running through the wash.  Many children are missing uniform items which are labelled with their name - suggesting student's have accidentally picked up someone elses item of clothing.
Please return any item's to the office.
School Fees
As we are approaching the end of the year - just a gentle reminder to make sure your payments are on track for your school fees to be paid in full by the end of Term 4.

Father's Day Thankyou!
We hope all our Dads and special people enjoyed the ‘Donuts with Dad Morning Tea’ and open classrooms last week. It was great to see so many of our school community attend. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped on the day, and a particular thank you to Marie and Kate for organising the Father’s day gift stall.

Fete Update
The Fete Committee has made the difficult decision to postpone the Fete until 2024.  This decision has not been made lightly and we understand the disappointment this will cause, especially for our children. There are numerous reasons why we’ve had to make this decision, with the main one being the inability to fill important committee roles and requests for stall holders.

In order to organise and run a successful fete, there needs to be support from our  parents.

We need parents to volunteer to assist the committee in the planning for such an event. For a Fete to go ahead next year we will need YOUR help. Please watch out for further details in future Brigid Bulletins.

A very special thanks goes to the Fete Committee and their commitment thus far, we understand what a challenging decision this was to make.

Canteen
It would be great to have the Canteen up and running again next term. In order for this to happen, volunteers are needed each Thursday afternoon or Friday. A decision will be made at the beginning of each week as to whether or not the canteen will open on the Friday based on if all volunteer spots have been filled. If you are able to help out and put a smile on our children’s faces, please sign up here. If you are able to organise a special food day, please email pandf@sbgdow.catholic.edu.au
