Crazy Hair and Sock Day
Students are invited to come to school wearing their sports uniform with a crazy hairstyle and a pair of crazy socks. They are asked to bring in as many silver coins as possible to create a St Brigid's snake in the playground. We are trying to make the longest snake possible using our coins. I wonder how long we can make our snake?
All money raised will be going to support our local St Vincent de Paul Conference to help those in need in our local community.
Toys for Joy
All students are invited to bring in any preloved toys and leave them in the basket outside Mrs Benoit's office. For every toy donated the students will receive a house token towards their end of term house prize. Let's see how many toys we can pass onto those less fortunate than ourselves and save the toys from going into landfill.
Toys for Joy is a recycling program for toys, and is the first of its kind in Australia. The program’s goal is to reduce landfill by recycling eligible preloved toys. All toys collected will be placed in the Toys for Joy collection bins at BIG W. All toys donated will be passed onto those in need or then get passed on to our partners at Terracycle to help reduce landfill and help make fun new things for kids.
