QKR!
Please be reminded to update your child's class on the QKR app as this allows for a much more streamlined process when staff or P&F are distributing purchased items.
Premier's Reading Challenge
The challenge aims to encourage a love of learning for leisure and pleasure in student's. It is not a competition - however, there are rewards of certificates and medals for participants - but a challenge to each student to read, read more and to read more widely.
Between Monday 26 February and Friday 23 August 2024 students in Year 3-6 are encouraged to read and record what they have read at the link below. Student's in K-2 will participate and have their entries uploaded in class. Countless research links the time spent reading quality literature to improved results in school - this is a way to support improvement in your child's literacy, knowledge and vocabulary skills.
Each child is able to borrow books from the school library, which count towards the Challenge, when they bring their library bag to school every Friday.
Teachers will be able to provide log in details in Years 3-6 next week.

TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
Don’t forget to book the babysitter… the P&F Trivia Night is only three weeks away. Get ready for a fun filled night of trivia, games, prizes and lots of laughs!
When: Friday, 21st June
Time: 6:30pm for 7pm start
Where: Wollongong Tennis Club, 37 Foley St Gwynneville.
Tickets are now available for purchase on Qkr! $20 each. Teams can be up to 10 people. Please nominate a team rep so you can indicate on Qkr! which team you are in (i.e. Sarah W team). Don’t worry if you don’t have a team, purchase a ticket and we will find you one.
Food is available for purchase from the club’s restaurant - Bistro onBeaton.
Please note this is an adults-only event.
We are still seeking donations for prizes - big or small - any contribution is greatly appreciated. Please reach out to the P&F at pandfsbgdow.catholicedu.au
With the winter months upon us, it’s the perfect time to restock your freezer with pies from our Annual Pie Drive. This year we will be getting our delicious pies, quiches, cakes and laminations delivered from Berkeley Cakes & Pies Bakery.
Orders need to be placed on Qkr! by Friday, 7th June 2024 with collection from our school on Friday, 14th June. Ask your family, friends and neighbours if they want to buy some yummy pies and add them to your order!
