THANK YOU FROM MS URODA
A huge thank you to the P&F disco committee and the many helpers for organising such an incredible student disco! Your creativity, hard work, and attention to detail made the event a fantastic success and created a joyful atmosphere for everyone involved.
The students had an amazing time and I deeply appreciate all the time and effort you invested to make this event so special for them. Thank you for your continued support and for helping to make our school community vibrant and engaged.
Jersey Day is being held at school on Friday 30 August (Week 6)
Students are invited to wear their favourite jersey to school on this day. Your child’s jersey can be from any sport of their choosing (eg Rugby League, Soccer, Cricket, Netball, Basketball etc) If you are unable to organise a jersey for your child to wear on the day, then a coloured shirt or jumper of their favourite sporting team is welcomed.
Students are asked to wear their normal sports shorts and/or tracksuit pants along with their normal sports shoes and socks. This is not a fundraising event. No additional money is needed by your child.
Jersey Day has been inspired by the gift of life that Nathan Gremmo gave to six people when in 2015 he became an organ donor at age 13. This day is an awareness day about beginning a conversation with your family and friends about the importance of becoming an organ and tissue donor.
By registering to become an organ and tissue donor you could be helping to save many lives of those in need. You can register your decision to donate via donatelife.gov.au or use the QR codes on the hall windows on Jersey Day itself.
NEWS FROM THE OFFICE
PARENTS & FRIENDS RECENT EVENTS
Disco
The kids all had a blast at the recent school disco. It was wonderful to see all of the awesome dance moves! A HUGE thank you to all of the parent and teacher volunteers who made the event possible. It was not only a great event for the children but also a successful fundraiser for the P&F. Thank you all for your contribution.
Communion
Congratulations to the Year 3 students who made their First Holy Communion last weekend. It was an absolute pleasure to present these students with a gift from the P&F at last week's assembly to celebrate their sacrament.
PARENTS & FRIENDS UPCOMING EVENTS
To celebrate all of our wonderful dads and father figures, the P&F is hosting a Breakfast and Gift Stall. Breakfast and Father’s Day Stall gifts must be pre-purchased and are available on Qkr now! Orders close on Sunday 25 August 2024.
We Need Your Help!
Volunteers are needed to support the P&F with setting up and running the Breakfast and Gift Stall. There are a variety of roles, each outlined on the VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP SHEET, which explains the tasks and shows estimated times. If you can help out in any small way, please register below by Sunday, 25th August. All volunteers will receive an email leading up to the event with more details to help make this as easy as possible. You will have P&F support throughout the whole event.
Save The Date - Family Fun Day, Sunday 22 September 2024
More details to come on this, but pop it in your calendar for a day to connect with friends from the school and have a good time. Keep an eye out on Compass and the P&F Facebook Page for more details.
2024 Yearbook - Coming Soon
Our wonderful yearbook committee has been working hard all year to collect photos to put in the 2024 Yearbook. Orders will open around the end of Term 2. Keep an eye out on Compass for the timeline for when orders can be placed through Qkr.
