CROSS COUNTRY CARNIVAL 2021
What a glorious day to bring Term 1 to an end. There was a great sense of enjoyment and participation in this year's carnival with the inclusion of the inaugural 'fun run'. Thank you to Mrs Carey-Barr for organising this school event and to the staff and parents who volunteered on the day. Great fun was had by all. Congratulations once again to MacKillop House who are the Cross Country Carnival champions for 2021.
SOLAR PANEL UPDATE - CLIMBING FOR THE SUN
Following on from winning the NSW School's Environmental Achievement Award in the Keep Australia Beautiful 2020 sustainable Communities Tidy Town Awards, I'd like to share with you the environmental impact and how our solar energy is working for us in dollar terms.
As of 30 April 2021 we have reduced carbon emission by 35 tonnes and saved 855 trees.
Prior to the installation, we spent an average of $2500 a quarter on our AGL Electricity bill. Since the connection of our Solar panels and the upgrade of our meter box in May 2020 our bills have been gradually decreasing and we are now in credit.

This is a great way to contribute to our best fundraising opportunity. This year we are working towards adding to our play equipment and hopefully purchasing a geoclimber. We also need to replace some flexible furniture items for the classroom.
