WHAT WILL REMOTE LEARNING LOOK LIKE FROM WEEK 4?

Remote Learning from Week 4

The NSW Government has extended Remote Learning for the Greater Sydney area which includes Wollongong for a further 4 week period. In light of this we would like to communicate to you what remote learning will look like over the next few weeks.

What will stay the same?

K-2 will continue to use Seesaw as their digital learning platform and Years 3-6 will use Google Classroom. Teachers will continue to create the 'Welcome Video' each Monday to share Prayer, present weekly awards and outline the learning for the week. Teachers will also continue to to send out the day plan and learning tasks the day before so that families can be prepared for remote learning

In addition, New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) have approved a flexible curriculum so teachers will prepare tasks for English, Mathematics, Religious Education and 1 other Key Learning Area that may be integrated into English. Students are expected to engage in their learning for 2-3 hours each day.
