Instructions for Accessing Zoom on your Device

In order to join a Zoom meeting on a laptop or computer you do not need the Zoom program. To join on a smart phone, tablet or iPad, you will need to download the Zoom app from the Apple/Android store prior to the meeting.

Your child's teacher will send a link to join the Zoom meeting on their Seesaw or Google Classroom account prior to the meeting. Simply open the link just before the scheduled meeting time and follow the prompts to join the meeting. Below are instructions for accessing a Zoom meeting on an iPad and a laptop or computer.

What do I do once I have joined the meeting?

On an iPad:

Students/parents or carers click on the Zoom link at the scheduled time. The following will occur on the FIRST meeting:

1. 'Zoom would like to access the camera' - click 'OK'

2. Select 'Join with Video'

3. 'Zoom would like to access the microphone' - click 'OK'

4. ‘Zoom would like to send you notifications’ - click ‘Allow’

5. 'This meeting is being recorded' - click 'Got It'

On a laptop or computer:

1. Open the Zoom link sent to you and click ‘launch meeting’

2. Click ‘join from your browser’

3. Enter student’s full name, click ‘I’m not a robot’, follow the prompts then click ‘join’

4. ‘Zoom would like to access the camera’ - click ‘OK’

5. Select - 'Join with video'

6. 'Zoom would like to access the microphone' - click 'OK'

7. ‘Zoom would like to send you notifications’ - click ‘Allow’

8. 'This meeting is being recorded' - click 'Got It'
