CHRISTMAS FUN DAY
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT - SPLICED
Over 100 students in the Diocese, aged from 7–14, have successfully engaged with the challenging tasks of thinking critically, creatively and reflectively with this year’s conceptual unit for SPLICED, The Power of the Imaginative Mind – Exploring possibilities through multidimensional thinking.
Sophie JT, Cameron B, Paige H, Luca D and Grace D produced multiple literacy bodies of work, completing the SPLICED program for 2021. Congratulations to these students’ perseverance, layered depth and enthusiasm, and inspired minds and hearts.
A special congratulations to Grace D who was the recipient of a SPLICED Achievement Award. Her work featured in a video launch of the website and book on Wednesday evening The video and Grace's work can be viewed on the SPLICED website home page: https://spliced2021.dow.catholic.edu.au/global-issues

THANK YOU MR BOSS
I acknowledge the hard work and commitment of Mr Boss, who, despite the obstacles of lockdowns and remote learning, ensured these opportunities continued and were engaging and enjoyable for all the participating students.
A large number of St Brigid's students completed the 2021 NSW Premier's Reading Challenge and received a certificate of achievement from The Hon. Dominic Perrottet, Premier of NSW.
A special congratulations to Edwina J in Year 6 who received the NSW Premier's Challenge Platinum Award for her seventh successful year. What a fabulous achievement. Hopefully this will inspire more students at St Brigid's towards such an achievement.
NEWSLETTERS IN 2022
The Brigid Bulletin will be published three times a term next year. Given that we have the technology to communicate 24/7 and the extensive use of COMPASS news feed alerts we feel that this would work much better for parents.
YEAR BOOK 2021
On behalf of all the school community I would like to say a very big thank you to the year book coordinators, Ainsley E and Pia P on another outstanding job. Ainsley and Pia were very capably assisted by Marcus M, Kali H, Saira M, Shivawn V-D-S, Kerryn C, Cathy A and Marie L.
A wonderful job to savour great memories and achievements throughout the year.

If you would like an interview with your child's classroom teacher/s regarding the Semester 2 reports, please email the school office to arrange a teleconference.
ORDER YOUR ST BRIGID'S SCHOOL BAG NOW
The St Brigid's school bag has been a compulsory school item for the past 3 years and part of the school uniform requirements. A long transition period was afforded families, therefore, if you intend replacing your child's school bag for 2022, it must now be a St Brigid's school bag. The quality, size and ergonomic features of the bag make it a very good choice and an investment that will last from Kinder - Year 6. The bag can be ordered on Qkr!
