In Year 2, we have been learning about the musical concept of Tone Colour. We experimented with making different sounds using a range of percussion instruments. The students then played these instruments using various sound production methods to make sound effects for the book "The Very Cranky Bear" by Nick Bland. We had a lot of fun!

CROSS COUNTRY 2022
During the last week of Term 1, we were able to hold our Cross Country as a 'selection trial' at the Botanic Gardens. Mrs Carey-Barr, Mrs Mitrevski, myself and Mrs Brodnick accompanied 38 students to the gardens and with the suppport of parent volunteers the students were able to participate in the 2km course. They ran like the wind, cheering each other on and encourgaing their friends to keep going. By the end, all students were hot, sweaty and puffing but very proud of their efforts. Well done to all the students who showed great sportsmanship. The Diocesan Cross Country has been postponed and will hopefully go ahead for the students who received an invitation on May 24, 2022.
Back at school, while we could not enage in any events due to the wet weather, the students enjoyed a House chant competition and some fun warm ups.
Please enjoy seeing snapshots of the Cross Country competitors and the fun back at school.

WHEN STUDENTS FORGET TO BRING ITEMS TO SCHOOL
From time to time, your child may forget their hat, ipad or other items required at school. If this occurs and you would like to bring the item to school, we have a 'drop box' that is located just outside the office door for you to drop the item into. Just give the office a phone call to say you have dropped the item off and we will ensure your child receives the item. Thank you kindly for your support.
