ATTENDANCE
Thank you to parents/carers who have been adding attendance notes in Compass when their child has been absent. If you have added an attendance note in Compass it is not necessary to email or phone the office as the absence has already been recorded.
Parents/carers have seven days in which to add an attendance note, to explain an absence in Compass, reminder letters will be sent out on Fridays for unexplained absences.
If you are having difficulty with logging in to your Compass portal, contact the school office so that this may be reset.
Please continue to complete the Respiratory Symptoms Google Form on the school website if your child has any respiratory illness and advise the school by email if your child has COVID or is a close contact and follow the NSW Health directives.
DROP BOX
If parents/carers need to drop anything at the school please use the Drop Box at the front of the Administration Building and phone the school office on 4229 1969 to alert office staff that there is an item in the Drop Box.
NSW PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE
The NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge has begun.
This year students in Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 will complete the Reading Challenge with their class.
Students in Years 3 to 6 will complete the Reading Challenge independently. To do this they will require their login and password information. Please contact the school office for login and password support.

NOTIFICATION OF COVID OR CHICKENPOX
If your child has an infectious illness such as COVID or Chickenpox, when you complete the Compass attendance for this illness, can you also ring the office so that staff may be notified.
Scholastic Book Club Issue 3 Orders due online by 13 May 2022
A reminder, there are no cash or EFTPOS payments, parents can order and pay online for their child’s Book Club purchases using a credit card via LOOP (Linked Online Ordering and Payment platform). The books are then delivered to school and distributed to the students.
Every order helps earn free books and teaching materials for the library and classrooms however there is never any obligation to order. St Brigid’s has earnt thousands of dollars worth of resources through this scheme.
How to order using LOOP?
- Sign in or register an account at: scholastic.com.au/loop
- Click on ORDER and select school and child’s class.
- Add child’s first name and last initial (so book can be distributed to the student).
- Enter product item number from the Book Club catalogue.
- Make payment via credit card
All orders are attached to the school account until ready to be submitted to Scholastic by the school. A due date will be published in the Brigid Bulletin. No late orders can be processed.
