SEMESTER ONE ACADEMIC REPORTS
SEL has plenty of benefits for students, ranging from improved school performance to healthier friendships and relationships and an increased ability to cope with life's challenges. At St Brigid's we are commited to helping our students develop the social and emotional competeencies such as:
- self awareness
- social awareness
- self management
- relationship skills
- -esponisble decision making
Teachers have gathered data on their students and have determined a focus for teaching these SEL skills through their English programs, incorporating quality literature to adresss relationship skills, resilience, problem solving, friendships, emotions and self-awareness. SEL ties in beautifully with the practice of Christian Meditation that occurs daily at St Brigid's and the current Personal Development and Health syllabus.

HUMPTY DUMPTY CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION CONTINUED
Week 3 of the Great Humpty Dumpty Crime is well underway with the investigation progressing to the forensic lab where the forensic investigators dusted a piece of Humpty's shell (exhibit A) for fingerprints. We have concluded that the are seven suspects and all of them are in Year 6. We believe that two of these suspects are the perpetrators who commited the crime of taking Humpty off his wall and in the process, dropping him and cracking his shell. This week we will conduct the interrogation of the suspects (Year 6 students) with police interviews taking place by Police Investigators (Kindergarten students). We aee getting very close to solving the mystery of what happened to Humpty Dumpty.
