Dear Parents, Carers and Friends,
John was a lamp alight and shining. (John 5: 35)
I have borrowed my reflection, this week, from Father Richard Green and his thoughts on Advent:
We are people of reason and understanding. We don’t appreciate it when someone comes up to us and says, “It’s God’s will.” What is this “will”, and what part do I truly play in it? I want to know what to do with my heart and mind, not just be reminded by empty words.
To put it simply, we are striving for heaven and to help get others there! This time of Advent is our time of preparation and renewal as we await the coming of the Saviour. Most people know the phrase, “We are born to know, love and serve God.” This simple saying allows us to implement the will of God in our lives.
We know God through meditating on his word in the Scriptures. We love God through the sacraments - by receiving his merciful embrace in Reconciliation and sharing his love by the worthy reception of Holy Communion. We serve God by seeing him in our neighbour and working for the good of others by our witness. By this we are doing the will of God, and above all, we are doing it with heart and mind, not just by meaningless words. So, we, too, are like John the Baptist - lamps lighting the way as we prepare to receive the Lord, the Word made flesh.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt amongst us. Amen
We have had such a wonderful year with lots to celebrate. As we draw closer to the great celebration of Christmas, my wish for you all is that your preparations are filled with joy; that hearts are filled with the peace brought by the coming of the baby Jesus; and that we are all blessed with the fulfilment and renewal that comes with our sharing and giving during this beautiful season.
Thank you for ongoing support. thank you to all the parents who have assisted as volunteers this year. We have a large group of parents who work tirelessly to support us and we are so grateful for your generosity of time.
Thank you staff, students and parents for working collaboratively towards building a community that strives for excellence in faith, well-being and learning.
May the blessing of the new born Jesus be with your family this Christmas. Wishing you a wonderful summer holiday break too.

- The Principal has the overall responsibility to implement this policy and will assign the responsibility of coordinating awards to teachers and the Assistant Principal.
- Awards will be given out at Assembly each Friday during the school term according to the awards weekly schedule unless there are extenuating circumstances such as a public holiday, a whole school event (causing cancellation of assembly) or a class is on an event such as school camp or an excursion.
- Awards will be presented by the school’s Student Leaders and Assistant Principal and Principal who organise and present assembly each week.
- Teachers must ensure they have their awards completed each Thursday afternoon to allow enough time for assembly preparation.
